If you’re a fan of the hit show Shark Tank you’ve probably heard about the Sleep Styler product. In that episode, Lori Grener, from QVC’s Clever & Unique Creations show, decided to invest $75k in this product, invented by Tara Brown.
What is the Sleep Styler?
Sleep Styler is a heat-free hairstyling system that uses super absorbent rollers to curl your hair in the night while you’re asleep. When you wake up next morning you will be amazed at how curly your hair looks.
The rollers are made from a memory foam that absorbs the moisture from your hair and wicks it out, but remains dry to the touch, so you won’t have to worry about getting your pillows or bed wet.
The Sleep Styler will cut your active drying and styling time from one hour to about five minutes and your hair will begin to get softer and shinier when you give it a break from the hot styling tools. Forget about your curling iron and give this a try!
How do you use the Sleep Styler?
It takes a few simple steps:
- Take a shower and towel dry your hair, leaving it damp
- Divide your hair into sections
- Position the roller and wrap the hair around it
- Wrap the strap and fasten
That’s it! When you wake up next morning just undo the rollers and use a bit of hair spray to hold the curls for the day.
Which Sleep Styler system should I use?
Sleep styler is available in two sizes: mini rollers and large rollers.
For thick, long hair, the large version would fit you. The super soft memory foam rests on the head almost like a pillow. The unique shape of the roller maximizes airflow and it’s perfect for hair that is mid-back or longer, thick, and has some texture. It should be long enough to be able to spiral around the roller a few times
If your hair is fine and struggles to hold a curl, or is near shoulder length to mid back, the mini Sleep Styler rollers would be best. It is made from the same gorgeous microfiber and memory foam material but it’s half the size and works more like a traditional roller.
Everyone can use the mini, but it’s especially ideal for shorter or finer hair. The mini creates more of a robust curl and it’s great for delicate hair types that struggle with holding the curl.
The two rollers were great together for long layered looks and extensions. Use the mini for the short layers around your face and the large roller for the long layers in the back.
