VTech DM111 Audio Baby Monitor

VTech DM111

Providing a safe environment for a toddler or baby is a must for a parent. Parents now more than ever are cautious about their children’s surroundings and will most likely try to baby-proof their homes. Today this can easily be done with modern gadgets and tools; one of the most basic of these tools is a baby monitor, which can get pretty expensive.

A budget option comes from Vtech. The VTech DM 111 monitor is designed to transmit clear sounds from a child’s room while you’re finishing chores or doing work around the house. While the DECT 6.0 digital technology does its job, the DM 111 in terms of sound quality and clarity excels with high marks, even compared to baby monitors with more expensive price tags.

The sounds have little to noninterference and static. It’s relatively easy to use because there’s literally no complication to it; just turn it on and use it right away. This means you could even leave it with the elderly and they’ll have no difficulty using it.

VTech DM111 Audio Baby Monitor

The manufacturer has not made any claims about the range of the product, but some tests have been made, and the connection was maintained through nine walls with a distance of more than 160 feet. It’s very convenient for larger houses; unfortunately, this product uses triple-a batteries instead of the more practical rechargeable batteries, and to add to that is the battery life of just 13 hours which is somewhat disappointing, meaning that you’ll have to use this monitor plugged in most of the times or buy your own set of rechargeable batteries.

This device is a simple and no-frills baby to parent sound transmitter, but it does that job pretty well. If you want more features, you might want to look elsewhere.

One of the nice things this baby monitor has going on is the alerts, like low battery and out of range, which give you a warning beforehand.

The Vtech DM11 really shines in the department of sound quality. It gets rid of the background noise and interference and has an audio indicator that has five levels of lights that blip when the volume is higher in the other part, even if you’ve muted the receiver.

eufy Security SpaceView Video Baby Monitor

eufy Security SpaceView

Eufy is a company known for making smart home gadgets like smart light bulbs, scales, robot vacuums, and more. Their baby monitor allows you to look after your child from anywhere in the house. It’s very functional and ready to use, with no setup needed, and provides a sharp, detailed video with pan and tilt functionality.

However, it lacks motion detection and some other smart features, which might detract some. The whole package consists of the camera, the handheld display, two USB power adapters, two USB power cables, and a camera wall mount.

The camera is short, shaped like a light bulb, and is four inches in height. It is glossy white with a black lens that holds the microphone. It also provides a 110° floor to ceiling mechanical tilt and the base offers 330° panning motion. The camera provides a 720-pixel full-color experience with a temperature sensor.

Night vision is 16 feet of black-and-white. Two-way audio communication is provided by the speaker and the microphone and will also trigger an alarm if the baby is crying or making any noise.

The portable display has a 5-inch 720p screen. On the mobile device, there are four-way arrow buttons for panning and tilting the camera and also for navigating the menus. It powers via the rechargeable battery and has a battery life of up to 7 hours and 17 hours on power saving mode. However, it doesn’t have features like Wi-Fi radio or a mobile app that would be very convenient.

The long-range wireless signal of 460 feet is more than what you need for most homes. The Eufy space view baby monitor is pretty much ready to use out of the box; just power it up, and you’re good to go.

The camera provides a crisp 720p video with decent colors in normal mode. In the night vision mode, the video is also pretty clear, with adequate contrast. This is an excellent baby monitor if you want whole room coverage with vast range.

With the mobile app, you have the ability to pan, tilt, and zoom if necessary. The camera can be panned 360 degrees, giving you a complete look around the room.

It also comes equipped with a 2-way talk function to talk to your baby via the mobile app. Another great feature of the app is that you can play any song, lullaby, white noise, or bedtime story that you want. It comes with its pre-loaded lullabies and white noise, but you can also choose from your own library.

The iBaby monitor offers you room temperature and air humidity monitoring, but the most exciting feature is the ability to detect dangerous, volatile organic compounds in the air. Most of these compounds are left as the aftermath of cleaning the room, such as benzene and ethanol, which can harm your baby.

Another great feature is that the device connects with the existing Wi-Fi, whereas other baby monitors use FHSS or DECT signals, in turn reducing your infant’s exposure to the electromagnetic waves. You don’t have to keep the mobile open non-stop because it’ll send you alerts if it detects noise or movement. It also sends humidity temperature and air quality reports as well to soothe you.
